Chapter Six

The storm carried on all day, raging outside with a titanic force as it battered the island. It felt almost like the storm meant to see the whole landmass swallowed in the ocean. The castaways huddled in their caves, huddled together and looking nervously at the tumult outside.

There were ten of them in the little cave where Louis and Connie had taken shelter. It was one of the smaller caverns, and they had to squeeze just to fit inside. Quite by chance, they were the only two passengers there. The rest of those in the cave were all swarthy crewmen.

For a long time they just huddled there, gathered around the little fire they'd managed to light and holding their hands out to the warmth. It felt nice, but seemed to do very little. Splashing water seemed to mist its way back into the cave. When they stood by the fire near the entrance they seemed to get wetter instead of dryer, and sitting in the cool back end of the cavern was no better.

One after the other the crewmen pulled off their shirts, each of them exposing their powerfully built black chests, glistening wet and tautly muscled. A few of them stripped off their pants as well, peeling them down and kicking them off. Louis eyed them surreptitiously, Darnell's words ringing in his ears. “Why stop at two? We'll have you playing with the whole crew before long, baby doll.”

He looked at the crowd of burly dark-skinned men gathered around the fire with them, and his imagination started working. Why stop at two indeed? Or even three or four? Why not... all of them?

Connie had been utterly unstoppable the night before, wearing out even Darnell, which he wouldn't have thought possible. She was a sexual dynamo, and he was only now realizing how much she'd been holding back before. What would it look like to see her fully unleashed?

At the moment, however, she didn't look like much of a dynamo. She was huddled close to the fire, shivering pitifully and holding her hands up to her mouth. Her teeth chattered. She looked so small and pitiful, her blonde hair hanging around her face in a wet tangle and her lower lip quivering. It made his heart ache in his chest to see her looking so miserable.

Louis patted her back. “Is there anything I can do for you, sweetheart?” he whispered softly to her.

She looked up, shaking and trembling, “Make it stop raining?”

He gave her a rueful smile.

“Maybe... maybe you can see if somebody's got a towel or something?”

“Uh, right. Sure.” He looked up. The men in the cave were talking amongst themselves, lounging wearily throughout the cavern. He cleared his throat. “Does, uh, does anybody have a towel or a blanket or anything for my wife? She's not doing too well.”

“Need to get her out of those clothes,” one of the men said, giving a nod in her direction.
